Minecraft ARG

The Woodlands is a hostile alternate dimension made entirely of oak logs, oak planks, wood doors, and oak fences, beneath a foggy brown sky. Its terrain mimics the Overworld but feels alien and artificial, featuring wooden "trees" (log trunks with plank leaves), hillsides, caves, tunnels, ravines, and vast chambers. Within this dimension lie strange structures including cities of wooden skyscrapers connected by narrow bridges, floating hollow cubes, giant pegboard-like voids, honeycomb-like underground rooms, wooden pyramids, and even a tesseract of giant staircases leading to empty air. Very rarely, a normal-looking Overworld house appears, complete with torches, beds, bookshelves, glass windows, and even stone furnaces, suggesting they are remnants or recreations made by assimilated players. The Woodlands also contains giant wooden End Crystals used in rituals, and is home to the Woodweaver, a colossal arachnoid entity that assimilates humans. Flames and cobblestone can slow but not stop the dimension's natives, who can phase through wood and walk upside-down, while assimilated beings perceive the Woodlands as a red void with only wooden structures visible. Players can enter via wood portals, but within the Woodlands, their ability to disconnect can be disabled, forcing them to find another wooden portal frame to escape.
