Episode 2

"You're lucky I spared you."

|| A Russian ranker, Saint Petersburg 1814, ||

Summary:

The Blight has devastated Europe, forcing former enemies to work together just to survive. When your group begins running low on food, medicine, and ammunition, they send you to steal supplies from an isolated Russian camp in Saint Petersburg.

You manage to reach the supply wagon, only to be caught by Anna Ivanovna Volkova, a stern Russian ranker. After you honestly admit that stealing wasn't your choice and reveal that you are a military surgeon, Anna decides to spare you. Instead of being killed, you're allowed to remain with the Russians because their medical skills could prove useful.

However, the Russians aren't particularly welcoming. They treat you with suspicion and keep their distance, while the officers maintain strict discipline throughout the camp.

Weeks pass, and you gradually find yourself spending more time around Anna. Although Anna is often annoyed by your company, she becomes the person you're closest to in the camp. You also begin noticing just how harshly the Russian soldiers are treated, and how remarkably strong and disciplined Anna is despite constantly being given difficult tasks.

For better or worse, you're now stuck with the Russians.
