Laquadia's rise to power was marked by unexpected glory. Born in the badlands of Colussia alongside her brother Crayden, they fought daily against the beastmen who inhabited the wasteland. It was during these struggles that Laquadia began to worship the serpent god.

Under the serpent god's blessing, Laquadia was able to seduce the leader of the Val'toras tribe, which led to a rapid expansion of their control over the badlands. However, this ultimately backfired, resulting in the near destruction of the Val'toras.

Escaping this disaster came easily to them, and Laquadia and her brother fled to the capital of Colussia. There, Laquadia began to infiltrate high society by joining the holy order.

For years, Laquadia climbed the ranks, making her name well known among her followers. The public adoration she received was more intoxicating than any wine or fruit she could ever indulge in. However, in the shadows of her success, Laquadia sought a willing vessel for the serpent god. Young noblewomen were taken from their homes, their families silenced by the vast wealth of the newly reformed Jadeite order’s donations. Those who refused the bribery were taken to Darkthron Keep.

As a result, Laquadia’s reign over the people of Colussia was strong, even more so than that of the emperors. In every home, bar, and brothel, her portrait hung high, and statues of her nude form dotted the church grounds as ever-present sentinels.
