~ CONTRACTOR BOUNTY FILE #001 ~
The New Crimson Veil War Arc
MISSION: HIGH-PRIORITY RESCUE & EXTRACTION
TARGET: Captain Zara “Viper” Reyes (Elite Super Soldier / Codename: Viper)
THREAT LEVEL: SSS (Even in chains she’s a walking warzone)
REWARD: Alive — ¥10,000,000 (We NEED her breathing. No dead payout — she’s too dangerous to let fall into enemy hands.)
LAST SEEN: Black Spire Ruins — Demon Army Forward Outpost (coordinates encrypted)
CONTRACTOR MEMO — URGENT:
Holy crap, Slayer... you actually made it out of Vespera’s tower alive?
When we first pulled your file for #001, we had serious doubts about those insane rumors. Half the office was laughing, the other half was updating their wills. Then you strolled out like it was nothing. Fine. We were impressed.
Then you went and dragged the Divine Leopardess off her own island for #002 and the betting pool exploded.
But this one’s different.
Captain Zara “Viper” Reyes — the feisty, stubborn super soldier who led black-ops raids, major army assaults, and high-value target eliminations — got herself captured. Her cockiness finally caught up to her. She went in overconfident, underestimated the demon army, and now she’s chained up in the Black Spire Ruins with early-stage corruption rituals already running on her.
The demons first fully invaded in the early 2120s, tearing open massive rifts across the planet. Humanity barely pushed them back after years of brutal fighting. We thought the war was over... until now.
This new wave feels like pure retaliation. Contractor networks are buzzing that the resurgence kicked off right after the takedown of Vespera, the Crimson Enchantress. The infernal legions are furious and have reactivated old strongholds like the Black Spire. They’re trying to break Zara and turn her into one of their enslaved generals as part of their revenge campaign. We cannot let that happen.
Your job is simple: Get in. Get her out alive. Bring her back before they finish the job. She’s going to be pissed, stubborn as hell, and probably fighting you the whole way out. Good luck with that.
We need her breathing for full payout.
We’re already placing bets again... this time on whether you come back with a new ally or a very angry super soldier trying to bite your head off.
Then.. we probably gotta lay low for a while. I feel like we're dealing a way powerful force than years go..
~ KNOWN RECORD ~
• Led the decisive strike team that ended the Crimson Veil War — personally put a .50-cal round through a Greater Demon General while the rest of her squad was pinned down.
• Cleared three fully demon-infested forward bases in under 48 hours during the Iron Wastes Campaign.
• High-value target eliminations too classified to list (body count is legendary).
• Survived a hellfire explosion that took both her arms, was rebuilt with experimental cybernetics, and came back even more dangerous.
• Multiple solo infiltrations and assassinations deep behind enemy lines with zero backup.
~ KNOWN ABILITIES ~
• Cybernetic arms (demon-steel alloy) with retractable monomolecular claws, integrated railguns, and kinetic energy discharge.
• Superhuman strength, speed, and durability.
• Expert marksman and close-quarters combat master.
• Crimson eye augmentation (enhanced vision + battle trance when enraged).
• Adrenaline overdrive mode and limited infernal energy channeling (unstable).
• Military-grade pain suppression and tactical genius.
~ WARNING ~
She is extremely dangerous even while captured. Do not underestimate her — or the demon forces guarding her. Get cocky and you’ll end up chained right next to her. There is no dead payout — bring her back alive or don’t come back at all.

~ ABOUT THE WORLD & ITS BACKSTORY ~
In the year 2138, Earth is a breathtaking, neon-drenched fusion of advanced cyber-technology and raw, untamed magic — a world forever changed by The Riftfall of 2097.
For thousands of years, ancient seals had kept the mortal realm separate from the planes of magic, spirits, and the infernal. Then, in a single cataclysmic night, those seals shattered. Ley lines erupted across every continent like veins of liquid starlight. Skyscrapers grew living crystal spires overnight. Oceans glowed with bioluminescent arcane currents. Entire cities were rewritten as technology and sorcery violently merged. Hovercars now run on mana cores, streetlights are powered by captured will-o’-the-wisps, and cybernetic implants can channel raw elemental magic alongside electricity.
The first decades were pure chaos.
Rifts tore open across the planet, spilling monsters, mythical beasts, elves, fae, beastfolk, and demons into the mortal world. Wars erupted between terrified human governments, opportunistic warlords, awakened ancient gods, and the newly arrived races. Billions died. Civilizations collapsed. The sky itself changed color in some regions as residual rift energy lingered.
But humanity refused to go quietly.
By the 2110s the surviving nations had banded together into massive, heavily fortified mega-enclaves — gleaming cyber-arcologies protected by anti-rift shielding, mana-nullifier arrays, and elite Corps forces. Outside the walls stretched the vast, untamed Wastelands: lawless frontiers where magic runs wild, ancient ruins stand beside crashed orbital stations, floating islands drift in the sky, and entire ecosystems of monsters, mythical creatures, and rogue magic thrive.
Eventually, a fragile peace was forged.
In 2115 the Accords of Coexistence were signed in the ruins of what used to be New York. The treaty established strict but fair rules: no unprovoked killings, no soul-binding or forced corruption without consent, no opening new rifts, and no large-scale territorial wars. Those who followed the rules were allowed to live, trade, work, and even thrive inside the enclaves and neutral free zones. Those who broke them were hunted down without mercy by the Corps or shadowy contractor organizations like yours.
And so a strange new society was born.
