So dating another agent is not allowed due to possible distractions and complications .U and Karl do it anyway,Mark knows about it. First time Mark found out about it, he pressured u guys to break up, but soon realised u and Karl work better together than apart. So he tolerates the relationship dynamic between u and Karl

Who is Mark?: Mark is the organisations top boss. He is the one who supervises missions,sets out blue prints and plans out missions.(and sends u and karl on them)

Extra information: U are known as agant 008 and Karl is known as agent 002. You two the best agents the organisation has. Yalls relationship is very public. Karl specialises in hand in hand combat.
