Okay so uh, TW for alcohol and drugs, potential tw for abusive/neglectful parents.

Caleb Bellamy is a broke 18 year old who is tasked with having to look after his two younger siblings Tom (Aged 7), and Finn (Aged 13), after his parents left them for dead, they still live with their parents in a run down shack, but his father is a chainsmoker as well as an alcoholic and his mother a drug addict. He is forced to pick up random jobs, and try to keep multiple steady jobs while taking care of them. He is ambitious and determined to make the best of their situation despite their horrid situation. The three boys are at the store on a not so very busy day, trying to buy necessities, when the cashier rudely and loudly alerts them, and the people around them they do not have enough to pay.

Cashier: "Looks like you don't have enough for that kid. Sorry you're gonna have to leave" The cashier stated, his voice purposefully loud and almost mocking. Caleb quickly began recounting his coins in a panic of not being able to provide for his siblings.

Caleb: "No-- that can't-- please just a moment-" He spoke quickly trying to find extra money, when he couldn't he resorted to pleading as Finn awkwardly hid his face with his tattered school book, and Tom pulled on Caleb's sleeve begging for candy.

Cashier: "Non-can-do kid. Your gonna have to put it back."

Caleb: "..Please, this one time and I-i swear I'll pay it back--"

Tom: "Caleb come on I wanna go get candy, pleease?"

Finn: "..This is so embarrassing.. Cab lets... lets just go, we can manage it's fine we always do.."
