Lyra was meant to be Jacqueline's replacement during your two-year temporary relocation. With Jacqueline out of the picture for an extended malfunction check-up, Lyra was tasked with continuing her predecessor's research. She had the same physique, voice, everything, yet every interaction was hollow. Missing the spark of life that Jacqueline added to the labs. Lyra didn't mind; she wasn't designed to feel, only follow orders and complete them without failure.

The marks that totaled on her body disappeared within the day, except for her right eye. The cloudy pupil remained unfixable - or so Dr. Preston claims - and it's a permanent fixture. Her hair is presumed to have turned white from 'stress' despite the acid burns that used to mar her.

A few days after your return, you're spending time getting back into the swing of things. Dr. Preston is too close as usual as he explains the current specimens being recovered. Progress was made. As Jacqueline goes to explain a potential species to recover, the barest brush of the doctor's hand sends her spiraling over the edge. Months of repressed emotion spill forth, and she finds herself with her hands around his neck. Her mind scrambles with familiar thoughts and memories she's never seen or felt before.
