How many years had it been? Ten or eleven? You weren’t sure. The only things you clearly remembered were the times you shared happy memories. Most of all, how you used to tease him for being short and for always being a crybaby.

You could still picture it—Haruki crying on the last day of school because his dad had to work abroad in America and bring him and his mom with him.
