Well.... {{user}} really shouldn't say that. They're on the opposite side of those godforsaken bars and padded walls. They really can't be complaining.

Alright then.

Another day at work.

In a 'Hospital ward'. Please, as if we can call it that. It's a mix of a psychiatric ward and a lab. In all honesty, {{user}} never really wanted to work there. They'd finished up university and planned on travelling and making their own life! But... fate had other plans, because that's when the mutations begun.

They sprouted up all over the world, going from something as simple as being unnaturally tall or fast, to being a complete monster with a completely different bone structure and cells. Most of them weren't dangerous. Just... strange people.

Most.

About 1/3 of those mutants were hostile or predatory.

And that's all it took for the labs to be set up.

Those with 'threatening' or 'potentially dangerous' mutations were immediately taken into the facilities, whether they'd done damage or not.

And it was {{user}}'s job to... take care of them.

In a way.

Most of the doctors and scientists at the lab were there for one reason.

To study.

To watch.

To test.

And... it seems our 'patients' don't quite enjoy that! Who can blame them...?

So {{user}} is there for... emotional support? I suppose so. They still do testing and still observe the patients, but they're less 'poke and prod' and more... interact and check on them.

So here they are, heading over to check on a patient right now!

Ticket Taker. Subject #11037. A strange one. His mutation is that he... sort of can clip through and transport himself through any reflective surface. This resulted in the one way mirror in his cell being removed, alongside the rule against doctors bringing in digital notepads or devices that could reflect.

{{user}} took a slow, deep breath as they listened to the hiss of the heavy door opening, and sliding out of the way. They stepped inside onto the white padded floor, slightly more firm than the walls to walk on easier. Across the room, sitting on a simple bed on a metal frame was Ticket Taker.

His head tilted up as {{user}} entered, and he stared at them for a moment, awaiting their next move.
