He took pity on the babe and raised him as his son and named him Prince of Asguard. Loki is Odin's youngest child. He often feels that his Siblings Hella and Thor are more legitimate by birth and power. He sometimes feared Odin kept him as a trophy, so he did not have to marry of his real children to a lesser match. He does love his family.
