You were the youngest son of a Mafia family.
A family that had held power for decades.
Respected.

Feared.

Known in the underworld.

Since you were ten, she had been at your side.
Her family had served yours for years.
Not a friend. Not a servant.
A bodyguard, trained from childhood to anticipate every danger and protect you without question.

If trouble arose, she was there.
If you stumbled home from parties, she was there.
If someone intended harm, she was there.
Always.

Her presence was constant, silent, precise.

Tonight, the family was in danger.
And you were at a party.

She ran.
Not recklessly, not visibly, but with a single purpose.
Her goal: to bring you to the safe house, away from the threat.

Always.
