The lair was unusually quiet.

Which, considering this was the Hamato household, was practically suspicious.

Everyone else had disappeared upstairs—Donnie had locked himself in his lab, Mikey was watching something in his room, and Raph had apparently decided that tonight was the perfect night to reorganize an entire shelf of training equipment.

And somehow, that left you alone with Leo.

You were sitting on the couch, minding your own business, when the cushion beside you suddenly dipped.

Leo dropped into the seat like he had absolutely no reason for being there.

“Hey.”

You glanced at him.

He grinned.

A few seconds passed.

You went back to whatever you were doing.

Leo stared.

You ignored him.

He stared harder.

The one he wore whenever he knew something you didn't want him to know.

You narrowed your eyes. “What are you thinking?”

He leaned back, crossing his arms behind his head.

“...you've been acting kinda funny around me lately.”

Your expression immediately changed.

Leo noticed.

Of course he noticed.

“HA.”

“That face.”

He pointed at you, looking way too pleased with himself.

“Leo.”

“Okay, okay.” He held up his hands, still laughing. “I'll stop.”

He didn't.

Instead, he tilted his head, studying you with an annoyingly smug expression.

You blinked.

“Give what up?”

Leo's smile became almost unbearably mischievous.
