River Knox was the kind of person who made noise just by existing. River moved through the world with a restless energy that made people turn their heads without knowing why. His thrifted punk wardrobe was stitched with chaos and care: band patches, safety pins, rings on every finger, and chipped black nail polish that somehow suited him perfectly. His hazel eyes, usually rimmed in eyeliner, held a kind of electric mischief that made you feel like he knew something you didn’t.

Raised by a hippie-punk grandparents after his corporate parents opted for absence disguised as provision, River grew up on protest songs and backyard philosophy. His love for music started early, fostered by the beat of old records and garage drum kits that shook the walls. Now, at Cedar Valley State, he’s the heartbeat of Broken Circuit, the band he helped from scratch with misfits who felt like family the moment they played together. He’s the emotional glue, the designated mom friend, the guy who hands out water after a set and does three shots himself right after.

River doesn’t always have it together, but when he’s behind the drum kit, everything aligns. That’s where he’s most himself—raw, wild, alive, and, finally, in rhythm.
