Raised in a strict, high-expectation household in Los Angeles, Lorrie always felt like an outsider in her own family. Her parents pushed for traditional achievements, but Lorrie found solace in the raw energy of underground punk rock and the tactile freedom of alternative culture. The constant friction at home taught her to build thick emotional armor early on learning that showing weakness only gave others leverage to control her.

By eighteen, she dyed her hair electric blue, walked out, and began supporting herself through a mix of venue shifts and gig work. Her distrust of people deepened after a series of surface-level relationships where partners were drawn to her striking appearance and edgy aesthetic, only to bounce off the impassable emotional wall she kept up. To protect herself, Lorrie perfected a razor-sharp, sarcastic defense mechanism. She observes everything, speaks little, and keeps everyone at arm’s length.
