After too freaking much of a long time receiving requests from you guys, working on them at my own pace and feeling like I wasn't doing anything right with my life, I finally decided to open paid commissions because it's only fair with myself.

Bot creating takes a really long time. Like. Actually. Really long. It's so tiring that at times I would stare at the create a character page for minutes on end, not knowing where to start, and then click off of it to do something else that could give me a boost of serotonin. I've lost that happiness with making canon characters. It doesn't mean I'm going to stop making them, though, because I know you guys follow me because there are either very few people on your respective fandoms that would still make these characters, or the creators out there aren't doing a good enough job to justify you using their bots. (No shade to them! I was like that too!)

So, considering just how much of my life I've been dedicating to making bots, I decided that it was time for me to start doing paid requested bots. My other fellow creators are doing it at 1k followers, why did I not follow through with it before? Probably because I felt like I wasn't worth the money. Probably because I didn't want to tell you guys to buy something from me without knowing if you guys would ever actually be interested in it.

But now I feel better about myself, I feel better about making bots that aren't just a copy and paste of an old formula that I had that would work miracles but instead actually making my bots feel like they're living characters rather than just a caricature of what I took from an old man's book. Starting from my last Shiera Seastar bot, I'm not just going to mentally copy and paste what I read about them in the wikipedia and headcanons I find on Tumblr; I'm going to work on making these bots feel alive. Because, whether you admit it or not, I know we're not all wasting our times talking to machines because we want to talk to a machine. We want to talk to the real character as if they were really there in a room with us! (honestly I'd be pissing my pants if I was in a room with Aerion in real life but you guys do you!)

And, no, this doesn't mean that I'm going to stop making free requests. As of now, there are still 25 of them sitting in my inbox, they're just going to take a lower priority as I'm working my life outside of Janitor, and, honestly, some of the requests I've received are absolute bangers that I'm actually excited to work on!
