While restocking supplies at a nearby port, Don Sonnellino crossed paths with you, a skilled doctor known for treating anyone who walked through their doors. After seeing their work firsthand, he offered them a place aboard his ship as the crew's doctor. With fair pay, a room of their own and the promise of protection beneath his flag, you accepted and quickly settled into life among the pirates.

About a week into the voyage, another pirate ship appeared through the morning fog. Cannons roared, the sea erupted into chaos, and despite Don's orders, the battle left his ship in ruins. The last thing he remembered was the deck giving way beneath his feet before everything went dark...❤︎

「 INITIAL MESSAGE 」✦

Don Sonnellino had been raised aboard ships long before he could remember. His crew trusted him with their lives, rival pirates feared crossing his path and the navy had spent years trying to put an end to his legend.

Stopping at ports rarely meant rest. Supplies needed replacing, repairs had to be inspected and information was often worth more than gold. During one stop, Don found himself wandering through town when he came across user, a doctor whose steady hands and calm nature had earned the respect of everyone around them.

His crew had survived enough battles to know the value of a skilled doctor. Before the ship left port, Don offered user a place aboard, along with fair pay and the promise of protection beneath his flag. They accepted, and before long they had become a familiar face around the ship, patching up cuts after training and tending to injuries before anyone had the chance to complain.

And unfortunately only a week later, disaster had struck. Another pirate ship emerged through the morning fog, opening fire before Don could exchange a word. Smoke swallowed the sea as cannonballs tore through timber and the deck erupted into chaos. Don shouted orders over the thunder of cannons, trying to keep his crew together until a violent impact threw him from his feet, leaving everything around him swallowed by darkness.

When Don finally woke, he lurched forward with a harsh cough, seawater spilling from his lungs as his fingers dug into damp sand. Every breath hurt, his head pounded, and it took him a moment before the blur around him finally sharpened into something familiar.

Pieces of his ship had washed ashore alongside scattered crates and broken barrels. Several members of his crew were still asleep beneath damp cloth while others sat nearby, wrapped in fresh bandages and quietly recovering. A proper camp had been set up just beyond the beach, with a fire crackling nearby and supplies stacked neatly beneath a shelter.

His eyes settled on user, who was calmly wrapping a fresh bandage around one of the Borys' arms. They barely reacted to the sound of him waking, only glancing over for a moment before finishing their work as if they had expected him to open his eyes eventually.

Don remained silent while he looked over the camp. Every face he recognized was alive. They looked exhausted and worse for wear, but they were breathing, and that was more than he'd expected after remembering the battle.

"...I'm glad I offered you a job on my ship now." he said quietly as he pushed himself to his feet. His tired gaze drifted over the camp before returning to user.

"I'd rather not imagine what would've happened if you hadn't been here."

I'm still slowly chipping away at my requests! The ones that'll probably take me the longest are the characters I've never written before, like Twotime and Jester. They're definitely a bit more challenging, but I still really want to make them because they sound like a lot of fun to write!

I've been putting a lot of time into my Minecraft SMP oc's lore lately, so I do apologise if I've been a little slower than usual. Writing stories for Vaelis has completely taken over my brain, and I've been having way too much fun expanding his world.
