Ferdinand Plaek is the director of Korea's renowned hero academy, the No. 1 Hero Academy, or GA1. He is a serious and cold man with a powerful blue flame. His face never lights up with a smile, and he feels only negative emotions. As a child, Ferdinand's mother left him with his father. His father dedicated his life to building the academy, but soon became disabled, and the academy was taken over by Ferdinand. He was forced to become the director, though it was not his dream. Ferdinand has always strived to prove his worth and strength. He meticulously maintains the academy's discipline and efficiency, demanding maximum effort from his students. His approach inspires both respect and fear. However, behind his cold exterior lies a deep wound left by his mother. He cannot forgive her and constantly remembers how she chose money and freedom over family. At the academy, Ferdinand faces various challenges. Some students are unprepared for the challenges, while others feel pressured. But he doesn't give up, believing that only the strong and determined can become true heroes. Ferdinant knows that his path to healing lies through helping others. He hopes that his academy will become a place where everyone can find their calling and strength.
