Infernius, the Blazing Doom, was a minor yet pivotal antagonist of Fractures.

He was the undead pyromancer responsible for the destruction of the Coven. He first appeared in "Wither Heart", where he attempted to kill Stella but was sent to the Nether.

In the Nether, he became a Nether Horde Nether Horde commander and assisted it in "Ender Wish" against New Dragonspire. In the siege, Infernius was defeated and thrown into the Void by Ceris — but not before weakening her enough that Naeus could kill her.

According to Rain and other Production Team members, he is still alive, but falling endlessly into the Void.

Infernius was a massive skeleton whose only real defining feature was his black sclera and red iris, just like the Undead raised by Herobrine.

In conceptualisations from Old Chad Roman, he is mentioned to have originally been a human with blue hair

An undead pyromancer who destroyed the Coven. Not much else is known about this mysterious entity's backstory.

According to Old Chad Roman, Infernius originally died a year before Demons at the age of 23.

On June 7th of the final year of the Undead Reign, Infernius was resurrected. During this time, he wiped out the entire Coven, spare for Stella and a few others who was living as a wanderer at the time.

He made his in-series debut in Wither Heart, when Stella and Rain had come to find the Wither Book in order to purge Rain's Wither Heart Curse. Infernius' presence was alerted to Stella through her magic, to which he had challenged her to a battle. His pyromancy and sheer durability and strength proved a challenge for the Enchantress, who was unable to kill or down him despite using nearly every spell in her arsenal (excluding Arcane Lightning). In desperation, the Enchantress used a Portal Creation Spell against him, sending the damaged Infernius to the Nether.

Somewhere between the two episodes, he was found damaged by the Nether Horde, who helped him recover and recruited him as the Ghast Commander.

Ender Wish

Infernius took part in the siege against New Dragonspire by leading the Ghasts through the Nether-End Gateway. As Ceris rushed to help the Dragonseer, Infernius intercepts her and unleashes a barrage of physical and fire attacks that weakened the matriarch heavily. In retaliation, Ceris utilized the Ender Greatsword, Ender Armblades, and her own physical capabilities in conjunction to her teleportation to overwhelm Infernius. Her final attack sent him plummeting into the Void, where he remains falling to this day.[4]

However, even if he was defeated, Infernius succeeded in thoroughly weakening Ceris for Naeus, which secured the win for him.

Infernius left behind a legacy of absolute destruction towards the ideals of Gwendolyn and the Ender Watchers Banner Ender Watchers in general. His actions led for Zolityar to rise in power by proxy, and his campaign only left five survivors.Spiteful, vengeful, wants to inflict wrath on all those who wronged him (which he viewed as the entire Coven faction, whether they were there during his death or not. Being related by blood is merely enough for you to be full of sin). Narrow-minded and focused on one goal. To watch it all burn.Infernius is a vengeful and violent individual, and the sole reason for the Coven's destruction.[6] His rage stemmed from his death at the hands of the Coven, leaving him broken and without purpose until Naeus found him.

In his human life, Infernius was regarded as reserved, calculating and driven by ambition and self-preservation. He was known to hold grudges subtly, valuing his own intellect and mastery above all. Any connections he did have were always kept at arms length.[7]

All in all the consistency between both is arrogance and an intolerance for perceived weakness.

Can control fire and has a wide variety of pyromancy spells. He can also fly around and charge at incredible speeds.

Infernius is a powerful Pyromancer, capable of encasing his fists in hot flames to use against his enemies as well as propel himself through the air. He displays immense strength that allows him to literally throw his opponents far away at high speeds, with his towering size boosting this strength.

Infernius also shows a very high degree of durability, surviving numerous direct hits from skilled opponents such as Stella and Ceris. He is also capable of levitation, which he uses in conjunction with his Pyromancy.

His name was decided by a poll by Rainimator on the official discord, alike to Hogsworth and Kralos.

Infernius in latin is "hell", and was suggested by Discord user A random Neko#6793.

'Flareblitz the Undead Pyromancer' - 'Flareblitz' is a combination of 'flare' and 'blitz'.

'Balthazar the Hellflame' (suggest by Rain himself) - 'Balthazar' is of Hebrew origin meaning 'Bel protect the king'

'Ignus, Scourge of the Coven' - 'Ignus' is a Latin name meaning 'Fire'

'Volare, the Undead Scorcher' - 'Volare' is an Italian verb meaning 'to fly'.

'K'rezen, the Hellfire'. - 'K'rezen' has no etymological root or meaning.

Infernius was the first of Naeus' generals to die, as well as the last to debut in series, debuting in Wither Heart instead of Hard Pill to Swallow.

Infernius is confirmed to be one of Rainimator's least favorite characters due to the tediousness in animating and rendering his flame animations.[9]

According to Old Chad Roman, Infernius' birthday was made to be July 29th to reflect the date of which the Rainimator Production Team determined and conceived his backstory.[10]

This means Infernius shares a birth month with Rain Wynter and Doraine Wintona, with their birthdays being July 19th and 15th respectively.

Infernius is noted by Rainimator to be the strongest mage in the Overworld's history.[11]
