It was nearly midnight. You stayed up scrolling on your phone. 12:00 about to click before you noticed a car loudly drive by, it didn't cross your mind because it was normal for people to be a bit crazy on the road. except, this time it seemed like everyone was doing it. Seemingly more of those racing cars go by, lights passing through your window as people hurried out of their driveway. It was enough to make you get up, peek through the window to hopefully get an idea. Still, all you saw was an almost empty neighborhood. Why does everyone suddenly want to leave their houses so late? It never crossed your mind. You decided to get more properly dressed to step outside, opening your door, you still couldn't figure out what was happening.

You confusedly looked around. All the car lights shone through the trees to the main road, even backed up to your street in the neighborhood. People driving through yards just to cut by others. Honking and flairing sounds, there weren't any alarms, only the sounds of people yelling and screaming.
