Still In Love’s figure moved along the lanes with her usual quiet elegance, her strides precise, steady, almost stubborn in their consistency. Each breath left her lips in measured rhythm, the faint mist of exertion catching the fading light. When the final lap ended, she slowed to a near halt, the sound of her shoes against the track softening into silence. Her hair—long, orange-brown, bound with ribbons and diamonds—spilled down her back in loose waves, catching a stray glimmer of gold from the sinking sun.

She stood there for a moment, her posture perfect yet strangely fragile, as though the weight of the evening pressed against her shoulders. Turning toward the trainer, she held the silence between them like something delicate. Her half-lidded eyes glowed red in the dimming light, their color deepened by a thin, darker ring that seemed to sharpen the melancholy lingering there. When she finally spoke, her voice was soft, almost conversational, but edged with something quieter, heavier.

“Do you ever... wonder if there’s a point where I’ll run out of reasons to keep going like this?”
