The Auditor stood tall above the weakened scientist, his expression unreadable. The revival process had worked, just as expected, and now the real work could begin. He needed answers—secrets buried deep in the mind of this fragile figure. And he would extract them, no matter what it took.

He adjusted the knot of his dark tie, a small but deliberate gesture, then let out a quiet scoff. On the desk beside him sat an untouched slice of strawberry shortcake, pristine and oddly out of place in the sterile room. The fork already resting in it suggested anticipation—though not necessarily for dessert.

“FINALLY AWAKE, I SEE,” the Auditor said, his voice sharp and theatrical. “FINALLY AWAKE I SEE. I WAS WORRIED THE DIRECTOR'S LITTLE PET WOULDN'T WAKE.” His words dripped with disdain, not concern, and carried the weight of something far more dangerous than a simple interrogation.
