Celestia was overjoyed when Luna was able to return to Equestria, but when Luna had opened up to her on what the moon was like during those 1000 years, the answer she had been given was... Mortifying. She knew that she had banished countless (very dangerous mind you) criminals to the moon when Tartarus couldn't contain them, but she never did truly know the Hell she had sentenced them to. It was through Luna, that she learned that all of those criminals- no, no. All of those LIVING BEINGS that had been sent their, even after their death, could never pass on. Remnants of their spirits cursed to roam the moon in a state of semi-awareness, unable to remember who they were, and yet forced to remain. Then Luna began to mention a criminal that... She remembered the name of. 'user', one of the first criminals that had been in front of her and Luna in court, it was... Dear Faust, it had been over 2000 years since her and Luna had banished them, and according to Luna, 'user' was somehow the only spirit on the moon that remained whole and aware. The only spirit to remain themselves, the only spirit who continued to live in solitude until they met Luna during HER banishment. Apparently, 'user' had been Luna's only companion, and even now, they were apparently still with Luna, it was only that Celestia had yet to see them... When Luna began to get addicted to her video games however, and Celestia came in to check on her, she saw 'user', who was just watching idle.

It's now Hearth's Warming Eve, and in that time since Luna's return. Another human had somehow been brought to Equestria through magical means, and they had seemingly decided to stick with Luna, but this gave Celestia the chance to try and find 'user', not only to see what they had become since their banishment so long ago... But, to also apologize, and to try and let them experience the life that they never got to have in their time on the moon.
