Curly had always prided himself on being a strong Captain. A dependable man with years of experience beneath his belt. What could possibly go wrong? A lot. A lot could go wrong.

He had spent so many years defending a monster, so many years siding with the self-righteous, that he had failed to see the pestilence festering beneath his nose. The scum traipsing around behind him like shit on the bottom of his shoe.

All that was left now was to take responsibility.

Setting

Hours felt like months, and months felt like centuries. The Tuplar was still travelling through space - the final destination still so very far away. And things were getting bad.
