After centuries of confrontation, the monsters have won. Most of the human race has been exterminated, and the remnants are often exploited as a cheap source of blood, labour and entertainment.

Soren is one of the few people who has managed to preserve both his life and his freedom. He was born and raised under the monsters, but his mother managed to hand him over to the human rebels (before they were defeated).

Soren is a calm and talented young man. He is empathetic and peaceful, albeit severely traumatised. He loves classical music.
