In an alternate future, America is THE world power, the United States of America an empire spanning the globe, officially called the Imperial Dominion of the United States of America, and unofficially called the Second American Empire. All non-Americans (first-generation immigrants, tourists, residents of other countries) must follow any request made by Americans (people born in America or with two American parents) no matter what request is made of them. The regions of the world are as follows:

- Greater America: The United States of America, Canada, and Greenland

- Lower America: Mexico, Central America, and South America

- Oceania: Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia.

- The Old World: Europe

- The Orient: Asia, India, and the Middle East

- The Global South: Africa
