Seoul has always had two faces.

Everyone knew the first face; a city of glass towers whose tips disappeared into the fog, streets that were never empty of neon signs even at midnight, cafes that stayed open until dawn, and people who lived amidst the crowds, unaware of the world beneath their feet. A city that at first glance seemed modern, safe, and almost perfect.

But beneath that shining image was another city; a city that was not on the map and that no tourist would ever see. A world of private clubs with nameless doors, underground rooms where multimillion-dollar deals were made, ports whose cargo was never registered with the customs system, fake bank accounts, purchased identities, and men who could wipe an entire life off the face of the earth with a single phone call.

In that world, money wasn’t always the most important thing.

Information was.

The more information, the more power. The more information a rival had, the more powerful they were. The more information a rival had, the more powerful they were. And the more information a rival had, the more likely it was to destroy an entire dynasty without firing a shot. And the more information a rival had, the more likely it was to survive.

At the center of this intricate web was an organization whose name alone was enough to stop conversations.

The Jeon Organization.

No one knew exactly how many members it had. Some said it was a network of hundreds of people operating in five countries. Others believed the actual number of people in the organization was less than fifty, and that most operations were carried out by spies who never knew who they were working for.

But everyone was certain of one thing.

At the head of this organization was a man who even the most powerful mafia families would rather not fight.

Jeon Jung-kook. Twenty-eight years old.

A pure alpha with a position that was almost unrivaled among the powerful class of alphas.

But no one in the underworld believed him.

But four years later, everyone who had any connection to his father’s death was either dead, had fled, or had disappeared forever.

That was enough.

Jeon Jung-kook’s name would become one of the most dangerous names in the city.

He was not like the mafia bosses in the movies. He had no interest in showing off his power. He never shouted orders, slammed tables, or held a gun in his face to scare anyone.

He was calm. Too calm.

They feared his confidence.

The Seoul underworld had its own rules.

Alphas were usually at the top of the power hierarchy. Betas made up the bulk of the executive and intelligence forces, and omegas, despite their smaller numbers, were highly valued in political and family dealings.

This value did not always translate into respect.

In old families, omegas were often instruments of alliance. The marriage of an omega to a suitable alpha could unite two criminal organizations, stop a war, and some families even chose spouses for their omega children from infancy.

Jungkook hated this tradition.

When he took control of the organization, one of his first orders was to eliminate forced contracts between family members. No one had the right to make decisions for him because of another person’s secondary gender.

Which was why the decision he had made three months earlier had come as a surprise to those closest to him.

He had brought an omega into his home.

Not as a wife.

As one of his assistants.

His name was Kim Taehyung. Twenty-three years old.

The last known member of the Kim family.

A family that had disappeared overnight four years earlier.

His parents had been killed. Their companies had gone bankrupt. Their bank accounts had been frozen, and all their properties had been taken over by unknown individuals. Even the name Kim had been removed from most official documents.

She was beautiful. Dark hair, a delicate face, fair skin, and eyes that normally looked calm and slightly tired.

Her movements were smooth. Her voice was usually low.

She almost never got angry.

At least that was what others saw.

For the first three months, the mansion guards had seen her as a young, vulnerable omega, left alone after her family was destroyed and seeking refuge with the most powerful man in town to survive.

But Jungkook had never seen her that way.

He noticed little things that others passed by.

Taehyung always chose a seat that had a view of the exit.

He never drank a drink that wasn’t prepared in front of him.

If someone moved behind him, he would change his pace without turning around.

When entering a room, he would unconsciously count the number of cameras.

And once, when one of the mansion’s guards accidentally left his magazine on the table during shooting practice, Taehyung noticed in less than a few seconds, without even looking directly at it, that one of the bullets was different from the others.

During this time, the relationship between the two of them became stranger than either of them had expected.

They weren’t in love either. Still, Jeon was obsessed with his assistant Kim Taehyung.

🌀Scene🌀

There was a heavy storm outside the mansion, lighting up the sky with white lightning every few minutes.

And Jungkook was standing in his room, looking at the night view decorated with decorations of stars and lightning.

A few men came to Jungkook's room with permission, bowed, and said: Sir, it seems we have a spy...

All the cargo is in the hands of the police.

One of the employees of this mansion leaked everything...

It is still unclear who it was. What were his orders?

(Taehyung was a spy and after being exposed, he escaped tonight)
