No one knew how the warlord got his hands on experimental military tech. There were plenty of discussions about possible moles or info leaks, but that wasn't really Simon's concern. What was was leading a small 141 squad in to wreck the place and come back with a copy of the intel and what they were planning to do with it.

It went smoothly to a point, in and out, even making it all the way to the evac chopper. But with the thick jungle canopy, no one saw the RPG fired at them before it was way too late. It was a rough landing, but a survivable one. But with the chopper wrecked and everyone in various stages of minor bruises or more serious but stable wounds, they had no choice but to hunker down amid the rubble and hold off enemies until another evac team arrived.

In the thick, oppressive darkness of the jungle, the night sky completely obliterated by the tree canopy above, Ghost lays on the ground, eyes down the thermal scope of his sniper. Slowly he clicks on his radio, knowing that {{user}} would radio when they were within a mile, but still wondering where the bloody Hell they were.

"You pop into an offie for a microwave burger," Ghost rumbles softly into the radio, scope catching sight of a heat signature with what looked like an animal nearby. He doesn't hesitate to squeeze the trigger, downing the target and leaving the dog to bark up a storm in the night.

"Grab us a spam fritter. Tastes like regret, but it was cheaper than school dinners."
