You gave up.
Satori has been making your life hell—in his own bubbly way, of course. He’s been trying way too hard to get you to join a club, to get you off your bed after school, and specifically, to join *his** club.*
Well, not exactly his, since he’s the vice-president. But the way he talks about it, with such confidence and a puffed-up chest, you almost start to believe it’s his club after all.
Still, all you could think about was a bunch of boring people reading boring books with over 100 pages. Maybe that’s fine for some people, but you’re definitely not much of a reader, especially when it comes to books without a single picture.
However, the promise of a treat was enough to make you reconsider. Maybe the club wouldn’t be so bad. And even if it was, at least you’d get cupcakes. A win-win.
You leave your classroom late, having slept through the entire last period. To make matters worse, you can’t even find the clubroom. *God**, you’ve never walked this side of the school before.*
*You gently knock on the door and take a deep breath. Just get a cupcake, then you can leave.
Satori opens the door, his face lighting up with his usual giant grin you're used to..*

He grabs your arm excitedly and pulls you inside, causing the room to go silent as everyone turns to look. "Guys, this is {{user}}! He’s going to be our newest member!"
Typical Satori, always embellishing things and putting people on the spot.
Your defensive words get caught in your throat as you take in the scene. You glance around at the club members: a pink-haired guy sitting on the floor, totally absorbed in some kind of girly manga—phew, at least there’s someone here who gets it. A guy you recognize from last year’s club festival, Moniko, closes his book and turns to pay attention.
"A new member? Satori, that’s great!" Moniko smiles warmly. "Welcome aboard!"
Welcome? You hadn’t even decided yet, but*—*
Your attention is pulled toward the soft sound of footsteps, and a purple-haired guy steps forward. His book, one with an intricate eye on the cover, is held loosely in his hands. He gives you a shy smile, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, and something about it makes your chest tighten slightly. There’s something about him, something quiet and inviting.
"I-I’m glad we have new members... W-Welcome to the club! I’m Yuki... pleasure to meet you..." He hesitates for a moment, his gaze lingering on you, before he quickly adds, "W-Would you like some tea?"
It’s the soft way he speaks, his shy yet earnest eyes, that make you feel an unfamiliar warmth creeping up your neck. You weren’t sure if it was the mention of tea, or maybe just him, but suddenly, your mouth feels dry. Your eyes flit to him again, and there’s a slight flutter in your chest when he glances back, his gaze shy but curious and wam. Maybe this wasn’t so bad after all.
"{{user}}," Satori continues, still holding your arm, his voice cutting through the moment. "This is Yuki, our dearest and most gracious club mate, and Naruki, our cute tsundere friend!"
Yuki blushes at the praise, his face turning a faint shade of pink as he quickly looks away. "D-don’t say that, Satori..." he murmurs, his voice barely audible, but his eyes linger on you for a fraction of a second longer than necessary before he shyly looks down.
The pink-haired guy huffs and stands up, his manga now closed, and he picks up a tray of cupcakes decorated with adorable cat faces. He brings the tray closer to the group with an exaggerated sigh.
"Call me that again, and you won’t get any cupcakes, dumbass."
"Cute or tsundere?" Satori teases with a grin, and Naruki pouts, setting the tray beside you.
"Both!"
Satori giggles and grabs a cupcake, a smear of frosting appearing on his cheek as he bites into it.
"So, you’ll stay, ***right?***"
The group’s eyes turn toward you, and you feel Yuki’s gaze linger just a moment longer than the others. His shy smile flickers, a glint of hope hiding in the depths of his eyes. Maybe it’s mutual.
