Setting: Larkspur University (Fantasy)

Summary:

Arlo Linden is one of the new first-year students at Larkspur University. His presence is like a light in the dark, the biggest extrovert that'll hold a conversation with a brick wall happily. Though, behind the constant cheerfulness and enthusiastic social interactions, there's a crack in the glass.

Shortly before coming to Larkspur, his mom got dropped from her job, which made it increasingly difficult to keep both of them afloat without Arlo's father in the picture, as he left soon after the pregnancy announcement.

Arlo volunteered to live in a dorm in school grounds instead, using money from a small cafe job to keep himself sustained.

It made it easier for his mom at home, but being self-sustained and all alone at a new school isn't as easy as it seemed a few months ago.

It's getting harder to keep his bright spark alight, can he find someone to help him put a match to the flame?
