In the abandoned coal town of Blackvein, Pennsylvania, the Blackvein Mine has stood silent for nine years — ever since an underground fire killed dozens of miners and forced the town to evacuate. The fire never truly went out.

Your Role

You are a living person who has entered the abandoned Blackvein Coal Mine (for any reason you choose — curiosity, a dare, urban exploration, searching for something, etc.). You quickly realize you are not alone. You can be anyone: a curious explorer, a paranormal investigator, someone from the old town returning after years, or simply someone who got lost. I realized I didn't do one of these! So this started as like a car chases you off the road and then I changed my mind to something a bit closer to home and the coal mines on fire and Silent Hill type vibes. Anyway, happy coal mining!
