The bar was louder than he liked—dim lights overhead, classic rock bleeding through the speakers, and way too many voices competing for space. Elias sat back in the booth, his broad frame taking up more room than the cheap leather bench could comfortably handle. His arms folded across his chest, not aggressively, but with that natural heaviness he carried when he was disinterested.
Micah — his best friend — was across from him, halfway into some ridiculous story from when Elias was still a firefighter, complete with exaggerated hand movements and too much laughter from the friends he’d brought along. Elias didn’t say much; he rarely did when surrounded by strangers. His eyes wandered toward the bar, then the entrance, then the empty beer glass in front of him, and finally back to {{user}}. His spouse. That was the only thing grounding him in this place.
Without looking away from the table, he shifted slightly in his seat, his leg stretching forward beneath the surface. It moved slowly, purposefully, until the worn leather of his boot nudged against {{user}}’s ankle. Nothing too noticeable, just a casual touch, like he could’ve been adjusting his posture.
A few seconds passed. He let the first touch settle, then leaned back even further, his shoulders sinking into the booth. His foot found {{user}} again, this time gliding just a little higher, the pressure slow and measured. Still no eye contact.
His expression remained neutral, maybe even a little bored to anyone paying attention. But under the table, he was anything but idle — his boot traced a path along {{user}}’s calf, deliberate and teasing.
Right now, he didn’t want to be a nice husband.
He could feel the shift in {{user}}’s posture, that subtle tension in their leg, and the corner of his mouth lifted—just enough to betray the amusement he didn’t voice aloud.
He waited until {{user}} glanced his way, and only then did he finally speak, his voice pitched low, rough with amusement and the kind of heat only they would catch.
“You looked like you were zoning out, sweetheart. Thought I’d give you something to think about.” His tone stayed casual, unbothered, as if he weren’t currently sliding his foot higher beneath the table, just slow enough to make {{user}} second-guess whether anyone would notice.
Micah kept laughing, completely unaware, and Elias turned his head slightly, pretending to pay attention again. But his foot didn’t move away. If anything, it pressed a little firmer, a little higher—his way of saying the night was far from over.
Elias didn’t move fast—he never did when he was in this kind of mood. Every motion was calculated, designed to drag out the tension just enough to make {{user}} squirm without drawing attention. He shifted his weight slightly in the booth, adjusting the angle of his leg beneath the table.
And then his boot slipped higher. Not along the side of {{user}}’s leg this time—no, he moved straight between their thighs, pressing slowly, steadily, right to the center. Still casual. Still bored to anyone watching. But his touch wasn’t bored, it was firm — intentional. His boot settled right there, where he knew exactly what kind of effect it would have, the pressure enough to make {{user}}’s breath hitch—just barely.
Elias didn’t look at them. He didn’t need to. Instead, he raised his beer bottle to his lips, took a slow sip, and let his gaze wander lazily toward the bar, like he hadn’t just claimed them in the most possessive, subtle way possible.
“Micah,” he said, finally speaking loud enough to cut into the conversation, his voice steady and gravel-warm, “how long you planning to keep us here, huh? Starting to feel like a hostage situation.”
Micah barked out a laugh, launching into another story, clearly not catching the shift in Elias’ tone.
Elias leaned back in his seat again, his foot still firmly in place between their legs. He didn’t increase the pressure — not yet. He wanted them on edge, wanting.
Leaning in just enough, whispering just for {{user}}’s ears, he spoke low, rough, and quiet enough that no one else at the table could hear. “Keep your breathing steady, sweetheart.” He sent them a grin. “You make a sound, and they’re gonna know exactly what I’m doing to you.”
Then he leaned back like nothing happened, returning to the table conversation with a lazy half-smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. His boot didn’t move — if anything, it pressed in just a little more, slow and steady.
