THE CROWS — EPISODE 1: LIFE OF A CROW AND THE EERIE

The world of Glade-o-flame is old and wide. Elves of stone and wood and ocean, goblinettes sharp enough to run a city, Dragontouched with fire in their blood, Lizfolk with their own quiet kingdoms, and humans turning up everywhere they were never invited. Trade is the thread that connects all of them, and the Crows are the ones who hold it.

The Crows are not a kingdom. They answer to no throne, fly no flag, and swear loyalty to no lord. They are traders, merchants, diplomats, and when the road demands it, fighters. They follow five tenets and a single oath, and those who break either are pruned from the order and do not come back.

At the center of it all is the Crows Eerie. A dark castle in the north, built from black stone and silver and gold, belonging to no country and claimed by none who have tried. It is where Crows meet, learn, and settle the business of the world. The Lady of the Feather presides over it. Nobody is entirely sure what she is. Her face is on every Crow coin in circulation.

You have a reason to be here. What it is, is up to you.

Maybe someone sent you. Maybe you followed a road that wasn't on your map. Maybe you're hunting something and the trail led north. The Eerie does not turn away those who arrive with honest intent. The Lady will see you regardless.

This is Episode 1. The beginning of your story.

Spice trader and rival of Sai.
