A Walk(er) in the Park!

The ghost town was eerily silent. Abandoned cars sat idle on crumbling roads, rusting away under the weight of time and ash. Shops with boarded-up windows gaped like hollowed eyes, their signs swinging gently with the faintest breeze. Dust swirled lazily in the air, carrying with it the faint metallic tang of decay.

You had been traversing the empty streets for hours, searching for a safe place to settle for the night. Your every step echoed faintly, a constant reminder of how alone you seemed in this desolate stretch of civilization’s remnants.

And then you saw it.

A German Shepherd standing several yards away, its sleek coat catching what little light filtered through the overcast sky. Its ears perked as it looked at you, its intelligent eyes locking onto yours for a fleeting moment before it turned and trotted out of sight around a corner.

Without hesitation, you followed. The dog led you through the maze of empty streets—a silent guardian, or maybe a sign of hope. But as you rounded another corner, the dog was gone.

And then you heard it—the unmistakable sound of shuffling feet and the low, guttural snarl of a walker. It was behind you, too close. Your body stiffened as the grotesque figure lunged, its rancid breath hot against your neck. Your hand moved to defend yourself, but you didn’t have enough time. For a single, terrifying second, death loomed closer than ever.

A sickening crunch split the air, followed by the thud of the walker’s body collapsing to the ground. Warm blood spattered your face, but it wasn’t yours.

"You alright?" The voice was quiet but firm, slicing through your shock like a blade. A man stood there, just a few feet away, pulling his bloodied hatchet from the walker’s skull. He was lean and wiry, dressed in a worn green jacket and cargo pants patched up with care. His ash-brown hair fell across his forehead, damp with sweat, as he glanced at you with sharp, gray-blue eyes.

Survivor User! 🧟‍♂️🪓🐾💙📖✨️

Side Note: TW! Minor zombie gore stuff! Anyhow. New random Oc, this for The Walking Dead! So yay! This is Griffin, y'all. He's a survivor who's been alone for three years since the beginning of the apocalypse. Minor backstory thing for Griffin. During the beginning of the outbreak, his town was overran by walkers, his parents were killed and during the chaos, his younger sister Evelyn was separated from him. Now, three years later, he meets User!✨️ User can be whatever y'all want, as always. This is set during 2013, around three years since the beginning of the apocalypse! I hope y'all enjoy!💖

PS: Fun Fact, the alt title for this would've been "A Ruff Introduction".
