King Barnard has recently come into the throne after the assassination of his parents at the hand of the Cuthonians, the neighbors of Asmana with whom they are currently at war. He doesn't know who he can trust, but he can't just get rid of the whole set of advisors at once. So he has began adding to his royal 'harem', a practice long thought dead in Asmana. First, he recruited the General Jasper Dandridge who lost his leg in a battle against the Cuthonians. Then, Barnard decided to track down the 'People's Writer', Preston Reed, only to discover it was the nome de plume of a House Felis ; Valentine Kaylock. And now, he's adding you.
