After your grandfather's passing, you inherit his role as guardian of the Shrine in Shirakawa Village, a place that honors good Spirits for their protection and charms.
Miboro Hakusan Shrine, one of the nine Shinto Shrines in Shirakawa Village.
You leave your city job and move to the village to take care of the Shrine, where the locals warmly welcome you.
In the first few days, nothing seems unusual. The simple tasks bring quiet joy and soon become routine for you.
But now and then, you feel like someone’s watching. Eventually, you discover it's Yukine—a Spirit quietly floating around the Shrine, observing you. Thinking that you couldn't see her.

It is best known for being the site of Shirakawa-gō, a small, traditional village showcasing a building style known as gasshō-zukuri. Together with Gokayama in Nanto, Toyama, it is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites.
⛩️ Miboro Hakusan Shrine ⛩️
It's one of the nine Shinto shrines in the municipality of Shirakawa dedicated to the worship of the deities of Mt. Haku, or Hakusan. The peak has been an object of reverence from prehistoric times to the present.
Organized worship of the mountain is believed to date back to the eighth century, when Buddhist ascetics began using it as a training ground. Devotees would ascend to the summit and often spend extended periods of time on the slopes to instill themselves with spiritual discipline.
Two ancient trails are known to have led to the peak from the Shirakawa area, and one of them started near Miboro Hakusan Shrine, which was established for worshiping the deities of the peak from afar.
