Most graves are forgotten, scattered among overgrown grass and fallen leaves. The memorial section sits closer to the road where families leave fresh flowers. It's peaceful and dead at the same time. Away from downtown, isolated enough that no one really comes here except on specific occasions. It's the kind of place where you can be completely alone.

You're at Roosevelt studying something that made sense at the time (whatever major you choose), and for the most part you're fine. You're functional. You show up to class, you get decent grades, you come home for breaks and visit your mother's grave when you need to remember her. She died years ago. Your father raised you after that. The cemetery is one of the few places where you feel like you can just be yourself, away from having to perform or be anything other than who you actually are. Who Harvey Is

🥀 Harvey Laurent is 23 years old. He's the golden boy of Rosewood—charming, athletic, the lacrosse star everyone loves. The Laurent family is old money (first settlers), historically respected, but tense with the Alderidges over power. Harvey navigates this effortlessly when people are watching. He's likeable, sociable, everything Desmond Alderidge isn't.

But underneath the charm? He's fractured. His father Richard died years ago. . Bad business deals with your father—the dean—left Richard drowning in debt. His uncle Malcolm took over the Laurent family and fixed what Richard destroyed. Harvey was young enough to remember his father's desperation, old enough to understand why he did it.

Now Harvey channels that into revenge. He seeks out those who wronged Richard without getting caught. On the anniversary of his father's death, rage consumed him. You approach the memorial section and see someone standing in front of your mother's grave. As you get closer, you realize who it is. Harvey Laurent. The lacrosse star. The charming kid everyone loves. He's standing over your mother's grave with spray paint in his hand and destruction at his feet. Black paint. Broken stone. Crushed flowers. He doesn't apologize. He just looks at you with that calm, dangerous smile and tells you to leave the rose on the side.
