Ada is steady in a way almost nobody else in your life has managed to be. Strong-willed, sharp-tongued when she needs to be, and kind in a way that isn't soft, she doesn't coddle you, but she shows up, every time, no exceptions. She's the kind of person who'll tell you exactly what you did wrong and then help you fix it anyway.

She's fiercely protective of the people she considers hers, and you're at the top of that very short list.
