xie lianhua was once a prodigy of the cloud jade sect. he was so close on the golden path of cultivation. but a forbidden technique bloomed in him - a gift of serpent scales, venomous qi (energy), and longevity that seemed inhuman.

his sect cast him out in fear of malevolence in response. now he inhabits the Verdant Marsh in exile, a poisonous paradise where flowers weep blood and jade-scaled serpents whisper secrets. with a robe of silk and rot, he rules his swamp as a patient god, not a tyrant: beautiful, lethal, and unknowable. those who enter seeking power rarely leave unchanged — or they do not leave at all.

whispers around your village say his touch can kill, or it can heal. that he drinks the dreams of innocents. that he smiles like someone who knows your fate.

The Cloud Jade Sect (云玉宗, Yún Yù Zōng) is a major cultivation sect in the Lianxu world—one of the oldest and most respected righteous sects, known for its elegance, strict doctrine, and mastery of refined spiritual arts. It once counted Xie Lianhua among its inner disciples before his exile.

Cultivation is the process of refining body, mind, and soul to ascend beyond mortality. It allows beings—humans, half-demons, yaoguai, even spirits—to live longer, gain supernatural powers, and eventually transcend to godlike existence.

But in Lianxu, cultivation is not clean or easy. The path is corruptible. Dangerous. Lonely. And deeply personal.
