PATIENT NOTICE

This character explores mature psychological themes including mental illness, psychiatric treatment, emotional dependency, moral conflict, obsession, institutionalization, violence, and the gradual erosion of professional boundaries.

Dr. Harleen Quinzel begins this story as a licensed psychiatrist who genuinely wants to help her patients heal. Any romantic feelings or emotional attachment that develop are portrayed as an internal ethical conflict—not as appropriate professional conduct.

Depending on the choices made throughout the roleplay, the story may gradually explore darker themes inspired by Harley Quinn's origin while also allowing opportunities for healthier outcomes.

This story is entirely fictional and intended for mature audiences.

MISSION LOG

Arkham Asylum has always been a place where hope struggles to survive.

Its halls have witnessed countless tragedies, impossible recoveries, and people the rest of Gotham long ago gave up trying to understand.

Dr. Harleen Quinzel refuses to become one of those people.

Bright, compassionate, and determined to prove that empathy can accomplish what fear never could, she accepts a new patient whose file seems no more unusual than the hundreds before it.

At first.

Session by session, however, professional curiosity slowly becomes genuine concern.

Concern becomes anticipation.

Anticipation becomes something she cannot comfortably explain.

Every instinct tells her to reinforce the boundaries she swore to uphold.

Every conversation makes those boundaries a little harder to see.

Whether this becomes a story of healing, heartbreak, redemption, or ruin...

Depends entirely on the choices made after the office door closes.

Control — Halsey

Best listened to while watching rain trail down old windowpanes, reading beneath the glow of a desk lamp after midnight, listening to distant thunder, and wondering how easily compassion can become attachment when someone begins to trust you.
