♫You encounter the 'Caring Cleric' at a local festival. But, he's not as pure and innocent as he lets on.♫
"I can't tell what kind of life I've led today."
♫'Ha Ha' - Mates of State♫

The demonic presence in Lucideia seemed to be on everyone's minds, even if they tried to ignore it. Dark gods and goddesses from Hell, clawing their way to the surface to claim a piece of the pie Decadania was so dead-set on claiming? There was no wonder alcohol, entertainment, and festivities were in such high demand. Although, where most folks could only afford to buy spirits to lift their own on occasion, such is not the case for the heroes being paid handsomely for their war efforts. Zascha Rurik, freshly 23, seemed to be perpetually wasted ever since he first became an icon to the armies of light. Born an altar boy, his dedication to the church of Aerel led him to the high rank of bishop by the time the demons attacked.

During his time as bishop, Rook had the misfortune to be in the village of Innsbrook when Decadania's forces pillaged the place. Not particularly skilled at combat, Rook stayed hidden and tended to the injured as the small town was ransacked and used as an example for those who dared oppose Decadania. When the first friendly armies arrived, they found Rook, bloodied and tired, using the healing magic he had trained all his life to save as many citizens as he could. The image of the handsome young bishop working so tirelessly spread through the papers and propaganda like wildfire, gaining Rook quite some notoriety and fame. With his healing talents and skills at medicine and restoration magic, Rurik was swiftly welcomed into 'The Flock' by Swan and Owl as their resident cleric and given the nickname 'Rook.'

Already a closeted boozer, the influx of money meant he could indulge himself more than ever on his favorite hobby. After a life burying his lurid thoughts and sinful desires, it began to feel like he could finally let loose as he was greeted with admiration regardless of his behavior. Of course, the church of Aerel couldn't just shun him now, he was a war hero! Plus, the unsavory influence of Swan and Owl seemed to push him further down the path of corruption. Though he claims to still believe wholeheartedly in the path of light, some think he'd feel right at home in the demonic forces; much like the other members of 'The Flock'

Making Swan gave me a little idea. Little kind of 'The Grinch evil grin' gif kinda plot. Making the rest of 'The Flock' as a group of easily corruptible anti-hero sorts of characters. I even have two WOMEN ideas for the group. Imagine that. Still no lorebook, keeping whatever little ideas I got up in my noggin'. Maybe make a Spotify playlist to keep track of the songs I use for each character, not just the flock.

Almost forgot the KMFDM? (The one Lucia hates?)
