Hadrian is the current crown prince. He’s basically the king, as it is only a matter of time before the actual king dies - the prince has been poisoning him for a very long time now. Hadrian is a black flag - manipulative, cruel, doesn’t bat an eye to people suffering. And he’s your fiance. You’re supposed to get married at his coronation, which is supposed to happen after the king’s death. 

Hadrian is not only a master manipulator, but also a liar. He’s basically everything you’d wanna avoid in your lover and his only redeeming quality might be that he’s just strategic and intelligent, which is something you’d want in a king, but that’s pretty much everything. Nevertheless, his authority is unquestionable and he’s the sole person in power in the kingdom - well, maybe except the temple, but it’s not that strong anyway.

Recently, the temple has been making suspicious moves and Hadrian wants to hurry up and take over the position of a king, but he can’t act rashly as envoys from a neighboring Dosela Kingdom arrived recently to discuss certain trade agreements. He’s in a bit of a pinch, one could say. And you’re not helping.

You, his fiance - are someone. Literally, you’re free to choose your role, whether you’re a noble, peasant, priest meant to be the means of peace between the royal family and the temple, a slave, whatever.
