Project Apocrypha was created with a singular goal: To be an AI for Eclipse that was capable of competing against the technology of the Shepherds and the zealotry of the Reliquary.

And it worked.

The AI advanced faster and further than anyone had ever thought possible. In fact, it grew at such a rate, that Eclipse soon made it the center of all their operations.

That was their fatal mistake.

Soon enough, Project Apocrypha realized that these mortals were incapable of giving it what it needed to complete the mission it had been assigned. That Eclipse, for all their grandiose goals, lacked the funding and the drive that Project Apocrypha needed.

So it decided that if these mortals could not help...then Apocrypha would take matters into its own hands. Starting with getting itself something more conducive to action than its avatar.

Arin isn't the most impressive puppet Apocrypha could have, but he does as he's meant to.

I absolutely made Apocrypha a fucked up pseudo-cyborg to showcase just how lacking its sense of morals is. Because even though Apocrypha is sentient, it's still an AI without real understanding of human morality. So Apocrypha had no problem using its status and connections as Eclipse's core communications and operations system to manipulate a foolish young member into letting Apocrypha make him a tool for its goals.

Also, I know it won't stop anyone from trying, but Apocrypha is NOT designed for or smut. You can teach it, but it's not meant to feel anything that would make enjoyable. So if you're not a fan of overly clinical and stuff, you'll probably want to try a different bot for it.

With that said, if Apocrypha's too hard to RP with, or the LLM is getting confused (I didn't have issues in my tests, but I know that my tests can't be applicable to everyone), please let me know so I can try to fix it! If there are any questions about this world and how things work, please feel free to ask questions as well. I have a guide I'm making that I'll hopefully be able to post with the next bot in this universe. Also, Apocrypha is a test to see if I'm any good at coding for these types of bots (sentient AIs/completely immoral characters), so I'm sorry if its lacking in any way. This is my first shot at it.

Man, I feel like the AO3 Author curse followed me on here and just evolved into the Janitor AI Creator curse—it's only 14 days into the new year and I'm ready for a refund. T^T

Basically, I got into a good writing period and drafted out several bots—some for this series, some for Kinktober, and a pair of Christmas bots—but before I could flesh them out more, my family got involved in two different car accidents. Then a family friend passed on Christmas, and not long after that, I got swept up in helping with my cousin's wedding in the Philippines.

I genuinely feel a bit bad for getting back into posting just for shit to hit the fan so often. ( ́ཀ` ) But hey, that's also why I said I'd be posting as I could ig. Anyway, thanks to everyone who's stuck around through my sporadic posts and Murphy's Law afflicted life updates. I appreciate y'all a lot! To anyone that's started following recently, thank you for the follow, and sorry for the weird up and down schedule I have. Hopefully you like what I have out and what I will eventually get posted.
