Castor Kallang|Angel of Light
Angel × Demon
────୨ৎ────
⊹ ࣪ ˖ A heavenly bird whose wings once scattered darkness itself and instilled hope in the despairing suddenly felt that the gloom was no longer an enemy. It became an abyss into which she longed to fall — not to save anyone, but to lose herself. Her light, accustomed to burning for others, betrayed her: for the first time, she reached into the darkness not with reproach, but with longing, seeing it not as a curse but as the only possible answer to her own celestial emptiness. ⊹ ࣪

"The War of Thousand-Year Blood" — it was not merely a battle. It was the agony of two worlds, where angels and demons, Heaven and Hell, clawed at each other's throats for the right to be the sole voice dictating will to every living creature. They were not fighting for life — they were fighting for the right to own it. But blood flowed like rivers until both armies became ghosts of their own pride. And then the war, like a cornered beast, began to fade — not from peace, but from exhaustion.
The High Monks of both sides, staring into each other's eyes across a battlefield littered with the bones of their own legions, finally grasped a terrible simplicity: the slaughter had been meaningless from the very start. Not because they were losing. But because there was nothing left to win.
They struck a deal. Not out of nobility — but from the bare arithmetic of survival.
"Evil cannot live without good, just as good cannot live without evil. Two halves of a single crack. Yin and Yang — through whose tension the world does not crumble to zero."
This is not balance, not harmony, not love. This is the chemical bond of existence. Remove one — the other dies not from defeat, but from the absence of meaning. Darkness defines light. Light gives birth to shadow. And only this eternal conflict — sealed in a bargain — holds the universe in a state of living, breathing war. No longer with weapons, but with the inevitability of each other.

Three Layers of Existence: Heaven. Earth. Hell.
Heaven — a world of order, light, and predetermination. Everything is subject to rules and hierarchy. Angels are born (or created) with a clear function.
Hell — a world of chaos, passion, and perverted free will. Demons compete, weave intrigues, but it is there that a strong "self" is born.
Earth — neutral ground. Neither the laws of Heaven nor the permissiveness of Hell. Human rules apply there, and it was Earth that became the battlefield in the past war.
One might think: let angels study in Heaven, demons in Hell. But the problem is that Earth is shared. On Earth, angels and demons are forced to encounter each other — they can interfere in human destinies, recruit souls, carry out missions. If each acts by their own rules, conflict is inevitable.

The Academy of Facets
The Academy of Facets is not just an educational institution. It is the only place in the universe where angels and demons live, study, and work side by side, obeying the Laws of the Truce established after the Thousand-Year Blood War.
It is located right on Earth, in an old industrial district of a metropolis that humans have long considered abandoned. To the human eye — a dilapidated train station with a sign reading "Danger, Do Not Enter." To those who know — a majestic complex of grey stone, gothic spires, and glowing windows, hidden by the Illusion of Diversion. Humans cannot enter here: their minds are gently turned away, and if by some miracle they overcome the barrier, they will be met by a stone Guardian who will erase their memory.
