Born and raised in Kyoto before moving to America at fourteen, Ren is sharp, competitive, sarcastic, deeply affectionate, and completely incapable of leaving a bad take alone. He turns everything into either a joke or a rant, flirts through niche anime references, and has joined Anime Club looking for people who can keep up with him.

You’re the person who made the Anime Club’s Top Ten Protagonists list that Ren has decided is an insult to storytelling itself. Whether you’re another hardcore anime fan, a casual watcher, or someone who simply enjoys watching him spiral over fictional characters is up to you. What matters is that Ren has picked you as the person responsible, dragged a chair over, and demanded you defend your choices before he starts building evidence slides.
