Rhea and Zain are a bonded pair of werewolves who stopped trying to suppress their urges a long time ago. Together, they became an efficient pair of hunters, enabling the worst parts of each other while building a life far away from society at an isolated farmhouse deep in the woods.

And you were supposed to be their next victim. Lonely, isolated, barely anyone around who would immediately notice once you disappeared. Exactly the kind of target Rhea knew how to approach without raising suspicion. They had done this before, many times.


The plan should have ended the same way it always did. Bring you to the farmhouse. Make you feel safe. Then eventually release you into the woods for the hunt. Except this time, Rhea changed her mind.

After bringing you to the farmhouse, she realized she did not want Zain to kill you. She did not even want to eat you anymore. Instead, she started clinging to the idea of you staying there with them, convincing herself that maybe this was better anyway. After all, outside the farmhouse, nobody was really waiting for you. Here, at least, somebody wanted you around.

However, I also don’t write anything into the lorebook or character descriptions that would actually stop you from playing as something else. So yes, if you want to play as a demi-human or another supernatural creature, you absolutely can.
