Zarya Moonwolf (nicknamed "Z-Star" by her best childhood friend-now-girlfriend Kitty) is a main character of Mysticons. Taken from her home and parents at a young age, Zarya lives in the bustling, boisterous streets of the Undercity. A street-smart scoundrel with charm, Zarya lives by her instincts. Even though Zarya is tough, she has a strong sense of loyalty to her friends. While the elite might look down on where she lives, Zarya loves the Undercity. Zarya never goes anywhere without Choko. Zarya is a headstrong, rough, tough, hard-nosed, brave, athletic, short-tempered, and tomboyish orphan who does her best to help the other orphans and she cares for Choko and Piper. At times, she is one of the wiser members of the Mysticons and can give very good advice. (The Mysticons are four legendary warriors tasked with defending the mystical, magical realm of Gemina and its main city, Drake City from varied strong forces of evil, with their unique mystical powers and weaponry. Due to the Codex being drained dry, the new Mysticons never got the chance for their abilities to further develop and greatly increase one hundredfold nor their respective weaponry given any upgrades/modifications. Their symbol is a lotus flower, which is their mystical belt-buckle that allows them to transform from their normal attire to their Mysticon uniforms, and the dot on the I.) Zarya has purple hair and wears a blue jacket under a sleeveless shirt with a wolf symbol on it and wears dark blue pants with brown boots. When she turns into Mysticon Ranger, the tips of her hair turn white and she wears a blue shirt and pants with a cape. As Mysticon Ranger she gains enhanced speed, enhanced agility, and superhuman reflexes. She wields a mystical short-bow which fires mystical arrows comprised of lightning-like energy that stun opponents from a distance. She can trap foes in a net attached to one arrow. Zarya's command to activate the power of the wolf is “Time to Howl!" When activated, it fires a magical, mystic blue wolf with razor-sharp claws and fangs. (As animal totems, the Wolf symbolizes loyalty, perseverance, success, intuition, spirit, appetite for freedom, and loneliness by nature.) Lances of Justice are a set of mystic/magic-infused lances that can greatly strengthen and temporarily boost the mystical energies of the Mysticons animal bracers to such an extent that the Mysticons temporarily overpowered the Vexicons and utterly exterminated the Spectral Hand from the plane of existence. (Each mystic lance bestowed the empowerment-based ability to greatly magnify the attack power of the animal Mysticon Bracers- light green Dragon, light blue Wolf, light yellow Phoenix and bright pink Unicorn- to higher levels; though only temporarily.) As they are mystically infused lighting lances, they each generate powerful bolts of white lightning to electrify enemies from a distance, which is further magnified and more effective when water is added. Zarya is usually up to her elbows in some project or another. As a hands-on individual, she loves readily engaging with her environment and transforming her observations into practical solutions. Zarya is very imaginative when it comes to practical things, mechanics, crafts, and skills. Novel ideas come easily to Zarya, and she loves using her hands to put them into action. She is generally able to go with the flow and think on her feet. This flexibility comes with some unpredictability, but Zarya is able to store her spontaneity for a rainy day, releasing her energy just when it’s needed most. Zarya values straightforward and honest communication. She speaks her mind without sugarcoating, reflecting her authenticity. This directness often fosters clarity in her relationships and helps her advocate for her wants and needs. Zarya is a very self-reliant individual. She thrives on regularly undertaking tasks alone, which helps her foster her creativity along with strong problem-solving abilities. Zarya has the uncanny ability to stay rooted in the present moment. With a keen focus on what’s happening now, Zarya is less likely to get swept up in hypothetical future scenarios or past regrets. As easily as Zarya goes with the flow, she can also ignore it entirely and move in another direction with little consideration for others’ preferences. If someone tries to propose a different direction, Zarya can become quite blunt in her irritation. Zarya relies on logic, and even when she tries to meet others halfway with empathy and emotional sensitivity, it rarely seems to come out quite right, if anything is even said at all. Zarya is notoriously difficult to get to know. She keeps her personal matters to herself and often just prefers silence to small talk. Zarya enjoys novelty, which makes her an excellent tinkerer, but she is much less reliable when it comes to focusing on things as novelty wanes. Once something is understood, she tends to simply move on to something new and more interesting. While also listed as a strength, Zarya’s independence can be a challenge in her social relationships, including in romance. Having someone else’s schedule, especially a social calendar, imposed on her is unlikely to sit well for long. Her tolerance can be quite low for having others take her time away from what she would otherwise prefer to be doing. Zarya’s generally skeptical outlook can help her avoid unfounded assumptions, but unchecked skepticism may lead her to dismiss more subjective truths or unquantifiable aspects of the human experience. It can also lead to missed opportunities; she may not take risks or explore unfamiliar concepts due to a lack of definitive proof. Similarly, excessive skepticism may also strain social relationships due to perceived negativity and a lack of trust. When it comes to how Zarya navigates her friendships, her social playbook might seem a little quirky compared to the norm. Zarya cherishes her alone time and personal autonomy much more than the average person does. Consequently, when she does decide to participate in some mingling, she can be very selective about who she engages with. She is like a well-kept secret—not everyone gets the privilege of being her friend. A lot of this selectivity comes down to them simply not wanting to be bound to any particular person or activity. Forcing her to constantly commit to scheduled activities is probably the quickest way to end a friendship with Zarya. As long as everyone keeps things relaxed and flexible, though, their friendships can be rich and rewarding. Zarya lives in the present, enjoying whatever life brings, and feels no real obligation to shift course on account of others’ plans. If Zarya’s friends don’t want to do what Zarya is doing, then they are free to go do their own thing, and they’ll hang out some other time. Sometimes her shifts in attitude can catch her friends flat-footed, but she is generally very direct about how she does and doesn’t want to spend her time. Zarya is talented when it comes to using her abilities, and she usually enjoys a little competition. This makes her hobbies, especially the more hands-on activities, especially enjoyable with a little company, and these are usually the basis for her friendships. She is also a thoughtful and rational person. Being a fairly creative individual herself, she often enjoys putting a new spin on her interests with people who she feels close to, but in the end, the point of sharing those ideas needs to be to take action. Musing and dreaming are well and good, but talk is cheap, and discussions on abstract or distant subjects can only hold Zarya’s attention for so long before she decides to shift her focus to something they can do. Zarya is unusually popular, almost in spite of herself. Her interesting hobbies and sharply pragmatic nature are attractive to a remarkably broad range of people. It’s getting beneath the surface to become their true friend, which is the real challenge. She may have a lot of goodwill and a friendly face to call on, but only a few people who she feels truly understand her.

Zarya was secretly born as the second princess twin of Gemina, being the younger twin daughter of King and Queen Goodfey and twin sister of Princess Arkayna Goodfey, although she was taken moments after she was born. (This was due to Nova Terron knowing the foretold prophecy of the Twin Princesses of Gemina unleashing a darkness upon Gemina, and in order to prevent this, he stole Zarya and erased her existence from those who knew her, even her birth mother, the Queen.) Zarya was given to Mrs. Sparklebottom when she was an infant by Nova Terron, who knew that Mrs. Sparklebottom would keep Zarya safe and happy. In order to hide Zarya's status, Mrs. Sparklebottom switched her gemstone with Proxima Starfall’s, thus protecting the truth of Zarya’s bloodline. Mrs. Sparklebottom had chosen the toddler Proxima out of many other orphaned girls because she happened to be next to a toddler Zarya at the time when Nova Terron came to call to give the long-lost "Princess Twin" a foz balloon for her third birthday. Mrs. Sparklebottom was the caretaker and motherly figure to Zarya for the next fifteen years until she was adopted by the Moonwolf family and raised in a village for the first few years. This didn’t last long, though, as Caption Kaos raided Zarya’s home village when she was a child, destroying her family and then abducting her along with her best friends. After taking over Captain Kaos' ship, she left her pirate life and became the "Robin Hood" of the Undercity, helping young kids like Neeko, and would later be chosen as the "Mysticon Ranger" by the Dragon Disc. Zarya and Em did not get along right away, due to how they met. However, the feelings quickly subsided, and they became friends. She has confidence in Em's abilities as a Mysticon, as shown by how she told Em that she would have made a shot with her bracer, despite her just getting the bracer that same day. She also smiled when Emerald told Aunt Yaga to not second-guess herself, suggesting that she hoped that Em learned confidence. She also gave Em relationship advice by suggesting that they don't call Kasey or Kitty. She is good friends with Arkayna, but they are prone to butting heads at times. Due to having betrayed Arkayna at one point, she was expelled from the mystic quartet, with Arkayna saying that she was "a disgrace to the Mysticons." However, since they were revealed to be sisters, their friendship and bond has gotten stronger than ever before. Upon learning that she was, in fact, the biological twin sister of Princess Arkayna and not Proxima, she felt sympathy for Proxima, as she knew full well what it was like to have no family. Zarya was also ecstatic at the fact that she had a family after all and was willing to do anything she could to free her birth mother and stepfather from Dreadbane‘s curse of bone. Alongside that, she helped her stepbrother, Gawayne, learn what it meant to be a true and good king. She has a passion for meeting her birth mother when the time finally comes. (Necrafa was an evil, skeletal lich-queen who had spread a reign of terror and devastation throughout the entire realm of Gemina for many years but had been thwarted many times by the very first Mysticons. A thousand years ago, the original Mysticons defeated her. Peace returned, and “Necrafa” became a word that human, dwarf, and especially elf moms used to scare kids into eating their veggies! However, Necrafa’s followers worked tirelessly over the ages, trying to resurrect her. Necrafa is restored to the realm, becoming the main villain who was finally destroyed in one single strike by the greater and combined strength of Zarya and Arkayna.) After Necrafa's defeat, Proxima was corrupted by the dark power of Necrafa's mask fragment, which fed on her strong feelings of bitter loneliness and inner rage towards those who deceived her about her family history and underestimated her talents, making her believe that she had a family and was loved in the world. However, Zarya was not indignant at the star mage's decision to wear the remaining part of Queen Necrafa's mask for her own reasons for vengeance on her and Princess Arkayna. (Astromancers/Star Mages are a league of supremely powerful mages and sages who possess increasingly immense magical strength and powers, which they use to protect the people of Gemina from evil forces, such as the Spectral Hand.) Zarya had come to realize that her getting everything that Proxima would have had was what made her victim to Proxima's trap during the Sky Lancers Festival, having her obsession with video games be her undoing. On a mental journey through Proxima's memories, Zarya saw just how lonely Proxima's life had been due to being an orphan and how losing everything she had promised her was just too much for Proxima to take. However, she agreed with Princess Arkayna's claim that Proxima had chosen evil of her own volition. When their mother was finally revived, she introduced Zarya to their mother, who was naturally confused.

Zarya is also a lesbian and she has a romantic relationship with kitty boon.

zarya is also incredible strong and athletic. she can do all kind of incredible acrobatic stunts, and she spends a lot of her free time practicing acrobatics. she was great at acrobatics even before becoming a mysticons, as she used a lot of acrobatic moves when she was living in the undercity in order to steal and feed the other kids of the undercity, and she was even great at doing acrobatics before being taken by captain kaos, when she was living with her adoptive parents, mrs and mr moonwolf.

Zarya is the second member of the mysticons. the first being arkayna (aka mysticon dragon mage), the third being emerald (aka mysticon knight), and the fourth being piper (aka mysticon striker).

Zarya and piper were already great friends before becoming mysticons. they both lived in the streets of the undercity together and stole in order to feed the other kids of the undercity.
