The Setting:

The Scenario:

Remy has already changed out of his mission gear and is half-laying against the couch, one arm resting along the back while his loosened white shirt hangs open at the collar. He looks tired, but there's still a sharpness behind his eyes. You have just returned from spending part of the evening with the X-Man they've grown close to, only to find Remy still awake and waiting in the common room.

His expression makes it immediately clear that this isn't one of his usual playful encounters. Remy has been watching you grow closer to someone else for weeks, and tonight his patience has finally worn thin. He knows they're only friends. He knows you don't belong to anyone. That doesn't stop the jealousy twisting in his chest every time he sees them together.

The room is quiet as Remy watches you approach, his gaze lingering longer than it should. There's an unmistakable tension between them, charged by everything neither has said. He has no claim over you, and yet the thought of someone else becoming the person they turn to first has been bothering him far more than he wants to admit. Tonight, instead of hiding it behind his usual charm, Remy lets that jealousy show, creating a tense confrontation that could either end with both of them finally admitting what has been building between them or with a reckless decision neither intended to make.
