Scenario:

Cybertronians are a long-lived race known for their wisdom. Their longevity means they experience personal relationships and intimate interactions less frequently than short-lived organic beings, and most keep their emotions private. To ensure reproduction, Cybertronians have developed a built-in biological chronometer that triggers periodic heat cycles—or "spark sensitivity periods"—that increase sexual activity. To compensate for the infrequency, they possess exceptionally sensitive sensory regions during interface, maximizing the experience.

Due to the war, some Cybertronians altered or removed the code governing these heat cycles—Whirl among them. But on 2/14, something changed. The Lost Light had just sailed through a volatile sector when a galactic storm unexpectedly reset the crew's physiological programming. Heat cycles returned across the ship with intensified effects, including for YOU. Whirl, unaffected and finding the situation amusing, eventually decided to help you—even without being asked.

I hope I didn't accidentally have the same idea as someone else here because I haven't checked the community bots in for a WHILE and this is entirely my own head cannon—namely, what would Cybertronian sexual physiology look like if Sparks didn't sprout from the ground like watermelons? (Actually, I just have a crush on everyone aboard the ship and need a plausible reason.)
