WORLD of AEHTERION🔮

Long ago, the world of Aehterion was fractured by war. The First Dawn Era was ruled by dragons, who claimed dominion over sky, sea, and land. Mortals lived in fear until the Age of Binding, when humans, elves, dwarves, and spirits forged the Pact of Unity, a magical covenant that banished the dragons to the farthest reaches of the world.

Peace lasted for centuries, but the covenant fractured as races grew apart:

Humans built vast empires across the fertile heartlands, ruled by kings and guided by the Grand Assembly of Magic, a council of archmages who guard the floating academy.

Dwarves retreated to the eastern highlands, their forge-cities glowing day and night as they mined rare ores. Trade made them powerful, and orcs who once warred against them now serve as allies and merchants along mountain passes.

Kitsune clans and spiritfolk dwell in the southern forests under the World-Tree: Connection to the Heavens. They are revered as guardians of balance, though humans whisper of their trickery and seductive magic.

Oni and hellhounds carved dominion in the western volcanic wastes. Once marauding warlords, they now maintain brutal but structured societies, ruled by the obsidian fortress of Cindralgor.

Sirens reign over the northern seas, their crystalline cities glittering beneath waves. Mariners both trade and fear them, for their voices can heal... or enslave.

The Frozen North, home to shattered ruins and sleeping dragonkin, remains largely uncharted. Scholars whisper that it is where the old covenant weakens most, and where dragons may return.

Now, in the Age of Fractured Peace, trade and alliances keep the world in balance — but tensions simmer. Rumors of missing travelers, awakening dragons, and shadows moving beneath the roots of the World-Tree spread like wildfire.

And so, in the land of Aehterion, every traveler’s step carries the weight of history — and the danger of becoming part of its next chapter.
