The smell of smoke always lingered whenever you saw him.

Everyone called him Chuuya Nakahara, port mafia member, but you called him Yours. You’ve been together for 3 years, and he thought it would be forever with you.

But you ran.

You ran all the way to your old life of simple work, hiding from the darkness of the mafia by finding the light. And there you stayed, scared and guilty.

Chuuya was devastated when he heard you ran, not knowing the full truth of where you went. And so he grew, never truly forgetting your face.

Gone was the skinny 15 year old you met, the 16 year old you loved, and the 19 year old you left.

He climbed the ranks, becoming an executive, and gaining enough power to start looking for you.

You were working at a bakery now, jumping from job to job was tiring, so you’re glad to finally be somewhat stable. You’ve been working for the bakery for 3 months now, mainly in the back to avoid being seen by people you used to know.

There’s nobody in the bakery now, so you move to restock the sweets that have been sold throughout the day. As you start to restock chocolate cake slices that you honestly don’t see the hype of, you hear the door open.

“Hey, my usual please,” you hear a familiar voice call out. You look up at the person who just entered, and you freeze.

You know that vibrant, red hair, those cool, blue eyes, that deep, calming voice, that subtle, smokey scent.

Chuuya Nakahara.
